Our principal machinery has been upgraded with state-of-the-art control system to make sure that we do not fall behind the technology stakes. This continuous search for only the best technological systems has in no small part allowed us to be ahead of the game.
How you benefit from our MIS
Our Management Information Systems (MIS) allow us to dramatically improve service to our customers. After assessing the software packages available in the market, we settled for a specially developed system. This Windows-based software covers the entire gamut of our manufacturing and warehousing systems. This includes: production catalogue, job estimating and quotation, order and order entry, job ticket and job tracking, cost control and invoicing.
The system has been fully customised for our special requirements. We now have the advantage of a fully-integrated and comprehensive package that fits in perfectly with our internal systems and work methods.
Our system also gives us the ability to offer the potential for electronic commerce facilities to our clients.
A unique feature of our system is a fully integrated reel calculator. This section of our MIS allows us to accurately calculate all parent reel and finished reel dimension and properties. Remote data collection means that accurate weights for each reel are recorded and printed on roll labels—as well as being saved for future reference.
All reels produced can be traced to a specific job and recorded weight using the system generated roll number. We have the facility of barcoding roll numbers onto labels for stock control.
We control stock levels by the number of reels, the number of kilograms in stock as well as traceability codes, lengths and weights.
We are also able to produce job specification sheets using an MS Word engine, which can be faxed or e-mailed directly to our customers—showing slitting details and a slitting diagram. Our Label Design Editor allows us to incorporate our customer’s logos into customised labels for their stock.
Our system also allows us to provide automatic order confirmation.
Overall, our computer-based systems allow us to control all work done at the plant and to deliver customer service that’s unequalled in our industry.
Large Volume Service
For out larger volume customers, we can provide online ordering facilities, with a dedicated line service. This gives our volume customers the capability of getting real time information on all rolls. We provide cutting, labelling, packing and dispensing of all material. We also do the invoicing on their behalf.
We have a number of such customers, which include the more renowned packaging companies in Australia.
Our large volume service takes a lot of the worry off our customers. Before we provide this service, we set our working parameters with our customers. From there, we look after all the details and do all the work.
